Spoleto ITALY

Its origins date back as far as 241 BC. I had few hours to spare before our welcome dinner with the Perugia Chamber of Commerce. The map says there’s a castle, I seek for castles…naturally.

This one is a fortress, it stands on top of Sant’Elia hill. Once home to important figures of the time. Adjacent to it is an ancient 80-meter-high 13th century Roman medieval aqueduct and bridge.

If you need a place for inspiration, write a book, get some solace.  This is the place.
